GDD202propfinal

Now this was a lot of fun. i'm starting to understand Maya a little bit more and as i do it actually became a little fun making the props. the sword especially was just amazing to work on. I had to make it in a lot of individual parts and when they finally came all together it felt really good. while it was a pain to texture it all, it was definitely all worth it. the sword wasn't as hard to make just because it was more simple with the design. my favorite part however is the chain on the back. when i was looking at shields i thought of an iconic one that i would really love. i came across the captain america one and though why not. that concept did not end too well so i switched up my approach and ended up up adding in emerald shards and chains on the end. i felt like if the shield could get thrown then i should have a part that would allow me to bring it right back. It was once again, a lot of fun and i am proud of what i came up with. Have to thank Donovan, Mike, Vinny and of course Professor Nersesian for all the help

my room

I wanted to finish up with the props before i started to finish this. i ended up using new textures over and over again until i found a set that had a live look to it. it's pretty simple and stressful at the the same time. i wanted to be proud of my endgame and i wish i did take this project so lightly. i have to thank Donovan, Manny, Dale and of course Professor Nersesian for helping me with everything.

week 1 revison

Super late to this, but I am finally redone with week 1. followed the tutorial vids and got some help from dale, manny, and don when i fell into a little problem. as frustrating as maya may be it's actually getting better and easier for me to use. getting started on week 2 now.

The room that i plan on making will be sort of a mini apartment. it'll most likely be available at the start of a game and then the main player be forced to leave out of it. i like the curves and sharp edges that i created, don't know if that will hep me or hurt me inn the future. i have to thank manny for really helping me with the cutting out windows because i really was lost after watching the tutorials. i think it looks dope and i am looking forward to making in come to life.

Room research phase

When I looked up the rooms i wanted to keep the futuristic theme going. i enjoy the curves that the futuristic themes show. i liked the green and white in the first picture because I like the NY Jets. it reminded me of going to the jets games. i really liked the second picture though. the neon blue blends well with the white room. this room reminds me a lot of Mass Effect and i'll mostly use the second pic to base my room off of.
